What a slap in the face to find out that Billy had told Georgie's grandfather and that her mom knew as well. Her grandfather and Billy had planned things out, so Georgie could put to rest the idea that Agatha was still alive. I would be upset as well. Georgie had not found out anything other than that Agatha had been in Dog Hollow with the pigeoners. I think she will find out something in the next chapter that will make her continue her search. She is starting to question her motives for going, but something will make her continue on.
I think Billy is trying to convince himself the kiss meant nothing, even if it was a suppose to be a goodbye kiss.
